Happy 1st Birthday Corrigan ~

I am 1 year old today!
Pizza is the birthday dinner of choice in this house

Corrigan's cake ~ once again decorated by her daddy's talented hands!

Blowing out her candle
Corrigan loved unwrapping her gifts
Corrigan's expression after her first bite of cake ~ love her!

I love my babies!!

Why does time go by so fast?  This seems to be the recurring question I ask myself as we celebrate another child's birthday.  Corrigan has filled our home with so much love.  Her brothers still can't get enough of her, her daddy is quite smitten with her and as I've said many times, to know that God gave her to me is truly a blessing.  There are no words to describe how special I feel that I am her mother.  We look forward to seeing how she will change in the next year of her life and how she will continue to change us as well.  Happy 1st Birthday Miss Corrigan!
(sadly we couldn't find our camera, but thankful we had our phones for pictures)

Happy Halloween 2012 ~

Note to self ~ do not carve pumpkins too early or they
won't make it to Halloween!

Corrigan's pumpkin ~ her feet and hands

My favorite picture of the night ~ they were all giggling

 Heading to the Pumpkin Patch

Walking in the field where they grow the pumpkins

So much fun ~ as Odin says, "it's so exciting"!  The season began with our annual trip to the pumpkin patch behind our house.  As we were walking in the field this year, we were able to see 3 deer running through...and according to the boys "daddy will shoot those deer"!  The kids had fun dressing up again and pictures with 3 kids is getting more and more challenging, but FUN.  It was another successful night for the boys handing out candy at our house ~ I can't even tell you how "exciting" it was for them!!  They waited in anticipation for each child to arrive!!

Miss C's first surgery ~

Arrival at the hospital ~ and as usual she's all smiles
 Getting vitals
Waiting for the doctor to arrive
The dot marks the spot (or eye in this case)
A little drama for her momma before going in
After dealing with Corrigan's goopy eye and blocked tear duct the past 11 months, the doctor decided it was time to take care of it.  Bryce and I got up bright and early this morning to take Corrigan in to have her procedure done.  Everything went very quickly and smoothly and according to the doctor, her duct was very obstructed and she would not have outgrown it.  I'm glad it's over because there is nothing more painful for me as a mother then when I watch a nurse take my child away and I no longer can protect them *sigh*.

Preschool Already?

I feel so truly blessed to have the chance to stay home and raise my babies.  As I write this post my heart is so sad how fast time goes by and how fast my children are growing up.  Odin began preschool this past week at Hosanna Lutheran Preschool and was so excited to get dressed and put on his backpack.  My eyes filled with tears as I drove him there ~ is it true?  Could he really be going to school already?  Ugh!  I guess it had to come eventually.

Horsing Around ~

One of Bryce's patients invited us out to her house this weekend so that the kids could meet her horses.  And to their surprise, they were able to go on a ride...they loved it!

Vikings Training Camp 2012 ~

Finally...after 7 years of living in Mankato, I (Jacki) made it to Vikings Training Camp!  I'm pretty sure we picked one of the hottest days of camp to go to, but it was fun.  I'm for sure making this a "must do" as long as the Vikings continue to hold training camp at MSU.  If it wasn't for my husband 'dying' of heat stroke and wanting to leave (I know, surprised me too!); I could have stayed and watched for hours.

Odin Turns 4 ~

Odin's birthday started off with "toast in a pan" (french toast) topped with chocolate chips.

Then it was time to make his birthday cake.  The boys love to help make their cakes and of course like licking the bowl and beaters clean even better!

His Batman cake turned out great ~ thanks to his dad's talented hands!

The kids pose before we head off to the Moondog's Baseball game.

It's hard to believe that 4 years has gone by already.  Odin continues to keep us on our toes and we have loved seeing him grow into the little man that he is.
