Happy St. Patrick's Day ~

We love the color green when it comes to St. Patty's Day!  This year we made shepherd's pie topped with green mashed potatoes for dinner, shamrock shakes as dessert and a night out with my husband.  Life is good!!

Bryce turns the BIG 4-0 ~

Plans, plans and more plans.  I had so many plans for Bryce's 40th birthday.  And then all 4 kids got hit with the stomach flu and at the same time.  So, I had to scale down my plans.  But it turned out to be a great weekend.  Odin and I made a trip down to the office on the Thursday night before his birthday and did a little bit of decorating.  It was quite a surprise for Bryce on Friday morning; mostly because he was not at all excited about turning 40.  Saturday we celebrated with a cake decorated by our kids and then he and I went out downtown, with surprise appearances by some of his friends.  

Winter Happenings ~

Our winter this year (2014-2015) was a bit abnormal, in terms of weather.  For most of the winter we did not have much snow around to play in.  Really cold weather didn't grace us except for a couple of weeks in December.   Winter is not much fun if there is no snow to play in.  We only went sledding one time, ice fished one time and didn't even pull out our skates.  I'm thinking southern United States would be a better option for us...I guess I'll keep dreaming!

 Watching the mailman is very fascinating (rain, sleet, sun or snow)

 Lots of coloring took place

 Many board games were played on Saturday nights

 A field trip to the pet store

 Watching the Mavs win in December to make it to Nationals

 And then playing in the rain, no snow, at the end of December

 And then the snow came again

 Sledding

 The boys hanging out

 And the stomach flu hit...all FOUR kids...at the same time...for 6 days

Christmas 2014 ~

My sad attempt at trying to play catch up...again!  Our Christmas was filled with much craziness trying to keep up with our littles.  Thankful for our time together :)

Quinn's Preschool Finale ~

It was a perfect way to end Quinn's preschool career at God's Young Minds ~ his Christmas program.  It was fun to see him singing along and being his silly self.  We apologize for the shakiness of the videos but that was the best we could do while trying to also entertain our 18 month old.  

We began our homeschool co-op in October and they have a great preschool program that Quinn really enjoys.  He will also continue his learning at home with me and his brother Odin.  

Happy 3rd Birthday Corrigan ~

Corrigan turns Three!  This little girl loves to take care of her baby dolls, is dancing anytime she hears music, loves on her Mr. Magoo (Declan) and tries to bug her big brothers as much as possible.  If she isn't doing some kind of girly thing, you will find her playing with her dart gun and wrestling with her brothers.  We are looking forward to seeing what her spunky personality brings out in the following year!

 

Halloween 2014 ~

Another successful trip to the pumpkin patch behind our house!  With so many pumpkins to choose from we never know how long it will take all of the kids to pick out the one they want.  Thankfully, it went very smoothly and quite quickly!

This year Odin was able to carve out his own pumpkin after his Dad traced the picture on it.  Bryce did another fabulous job carving each pumpkin out to perfection! 

This was our first year going out to trick or treat!  Although it was a bit on the chilly side, all of the kids enjoyed their time out.  I'm pretty sure we made it to less than 20 houses between two neighborhoods, however their bags were full.  Our little ones were as follows:
