Mankato Marathon ~

Mankato held it's first marathon on October 23rd. My good friend Dawn ran the marathon and finished 88th out of 577 runners! The marathon ran right in front of our house and Odin and I had fun cheering all the runners on. I had several friends run the marathon and half marathon. I actually tried to sign up for the half marathon and they had closed the race already. They didn't expect to fill up the race since it was the first time...they ended up turning away over 1,000 runners that wanted to get in!

Halloween 2010 ~

Happy Halloween! We had a fun time this year from going to a pumpkin patch and picking out the pumpkins, Bryce carving the pumpkins and of course Trick or Treating. We decided Odin was still too young to go out so he helped me hand out the candy at the door. Each time he saw someone coming to the door he'd yell "trick treat", "trick treat"! Of course, he was a bit more generous with the candy he was handing out than I was.

Fence Painting ~

I did it! I finally got the fence painted. I would have to say that it was a lot more work than I anticipated, but man, having it done feels so good. I started on the inside which took me just a little over 2 weeks to get done. I tried to do as much as I could over the kid's naps (because Odin always wanted to "help") but that didn't always work. And then on to the outside which went a lot faster (about 5 days to complete)! It really turned out nice ~ even our neighbor commented on it, saying "so now it will all be the same color?". Not sure how to take that!

A day at the Farm ~

Odin got invited by his friend Jacob to go on a combine ride with his grandpa ~ if you haven't talked to Odin lately, he loves his farm machinary. He absolutely loved the day and the ride. Quinn got to watch from the sidelines but I could tell he was having fun too. Also in the photo's is another one of Odin's friends, Ryan. They are all one month apart in age. Katie (Ryan's mom), Rebekah (Jacob's mom) and I all taught at East while we were pregnant!
