1st Blizzard of 2009 ~

It was great to have a snow day and hang out with Odin on Wednesday, but I'm not sure Bryce enjoyed clearing off the driveway. We were very thankful we had 4 wheel drive so that Bryce could get to work! Odin had a great time playing in the snow for the first time. It was pretty funny watching him try to get up once he fell - I think it was easier for him to roll instead of stand with all of his warm clothes on.

Starkey Christmas Party ~

Odin spent this past Saturday with his Grandpa and Grandma Anderson, Uncle Jared and Auntie Katy and his cousin Sam at the Starkey Christmas Party (where Ralph works). It sounds like they had a pretty good time!

Go Vikings!!

Purple Pride ~ Ever since #4 decided to come to Minnesota, Bryce was determined that our family was going to enjoy the game in style. It was also fun to learn that our camera does have a timer on it (we've only owned it for 2 1/2 years)! It only took 4 times for Odin to look at the camera at the right time! Go Vikings ~

Labor Day Weekend ~

Even though we didn't make it up north for Labor Day weekend, we were able to enjoy some fun in the sun at Madison Lake with Auntie Cindy and Uncle Rick! It was fun to see Odin play in the water...he is quite the brave man...going out deeper and deeper...until a wave knocked him over. It's sad to say that summer has come and gone :(

Family Wedding ~

Bryce's brother Nick married Emily on August 29th. We had a good time all weekend seeing family and enjoying a weekend away from Mankato! Odin was a trooper despite the schedule change with eating and napping. As a matter of fact, I don't believe he went to sleep on Saturday night until 10:00 ~ He had a great time dancing and just running around.

First Haircut ~

I finally had to do it ~ I took Odin over to Fantastic Sam's for his first haircut! He was even lucky enough to have the same stylist as his daddy to cut his hair. There are a few before pictures waiting to get in and then his daddy took a few of the after :)

Strike #3 - We're Spent!

Well, when they say it happens in 3's, it does! First, our dishwasher died almost a month ago ~ our lawnmower quit on me just before WeFest ~ then our Jeep decided to malfunction on the way home from WeFest. As you can see, Bryce and Odin tried to fix the dishwasher...to no avail ~ darn it, Momma is tired of washing dishes! Thankfully Bryce was able to get the mower mowing - our home no longer looks like a forclosure again. However, our Jeep will be in the shop for at least 4 more days (that will be a total of 8 days)...I won't tell you how I feel about this bill! We are hoping that things start to turn around for us :)

On a positive note, even though Loki is full of energy, he continues to surprise us with how good he is with Odin ~ they love playing with each other.

WeFest 2009

Bryce and I had a great time at WeFest ~ even though the weather was cool, the music and company were great! Odin tried to come with by hiding in his daddy's bag ~ I'm sure I would have let him if he would've stayed in it! We are looking forward to going again next year!!

Happy 1st Birthday Odin!!

We had a nice day yesterday with Odin celebrating his 1st Birthday. It's hard to believe that one year has already gone by. Bryce and I were talking about how much love and happiness we have been blessed with since Odin has come into our lives. We are excited to see what the next year holds for us.

If you will notice, Mommy baked a cake, made homemade frosting and then decorated it! Not to brag (but I will), I think it turned out quite nice. Odin enjoyed eating it and of course I think he enjoyed playing with it more! More importantly, I hope that O likes his parents just as much as we like him :)
